Programme Coordinator and Fourth Year Coordinator

 

Aisling has over 25 years of experience lecturing on the B.Eng (Hons) Degree in Chemical & Biopharmaceutical Engineering. She delivers modules over all four years of the degree programme. She holds both a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D from Queen’s University Belfast. She is especially interested in Design Thinking, student entrepreneurship and innovation, and the use of process simulation packages to model batch and continuous processes. Aisling is committed to the development of student competencies from first year through to fourth year and recognises the value of student engagement . Her research interests include membrane separations and novel applications of forward osmosis in particular. Aisling participates in IWISH every year and regularly makes school visits to promote STEM and chemical engineering as a career choice.
